Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister and BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik today urged activists of the Biju Yuva Janata Dal (BYJD) to utilise social media more and be ‘tech savvy’ to connect with people of the State.

Addressing the two-day executive meeting of the BYJD at the Idcol Auditorium on the opening day, Patnaik stated, “The BYJD activists should counter the misleading statements issued by some groups and people at every level and tell the truth to the people of Odisha.”

He added, “BYJD’s district committee will be formed in next 15 days, constituency and block level committees in 30 days, panchayat level committees in 45 days,” adding that the process will be over in July.

Besides, the working committee of BYJD decided to hold six youth conventions across the State in June and July.

After the meeting, BJD general secretary Sanjay Dasburma told newsmen, “We will work as per the instructions given by the Chief Minister and utilise the media and IT cell fully for better coordination between the governance and BYJD to resolve issues of people especially youth.”
