Namtara firing: Gajbhiye gets 2 weeks to depose before RDC

Kendrapara: The Central Revenue Divisional Commissioner (RDC) and former collector of the district Pramod Das today asked former Kendrapara SP Satish Gajbhiye to appear and record his statement on September 20 regarding the Namtara firing incident.

Dr AB Ota, the Central RDC said, “The former Kendrapara SP called up as well as informed me in writing seeking three weeks time to appear before the RDC. But I told him to depose in two weeks.”

Regarding the incident, 11 witnesses today recorded their statements before the Central RDC.

Notably, the firing incident occurred during a liquor protest last year at Namtara.
