Mumbai bound IndiGo flight grounded after bird hit

Bhubaneswar: A Mumbai-bound IndiGo flight was grounded after it suffered a bird hit shortly before landing at the Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) on Thursday morning.

The aircraft, however, landed safely and no passengers were hurt. The aircraft remains grounded at the airport where engineers are assessing the damage to the plane.

Following the incident, the flight has been cancelled.
