Cuttack: Mountaineer Kalpana Dash who was admitted to the SCB Medical following stomach pain has brought serious allegations against the doctor treating her at the premier state run hospital.

Dash, the first Odia woman to climb Mount Everest in 2008, was admitted to SCB Medical on Monday night after complaining of stomach pain. She has however said that the doctor here has neglected her treatment and forced her to get ultrasound done at a private centre outside the medical.

The mountaineer also said that the doctor asked her to be ready within 10 minutes for the operation theatre and made her forcibly sign on a risk form.

“I denied to get operated in such haste. The doctor threatened me for treatment,” said Dash.

The version of the SCB Medical authorities has however not been available.
