Mother monkey refuses to leave baby in danger

Puri: An incident in Nimapada of Puri district today proved that animals do experience rich and deep emotions much in the same way we do as a mother monkey refused to leave her baby in danger and waited for over 15 hours till it was rescued.

As per reports, the baby monkey got trapped in the net which a local Kashinath had used to protect his TV antenna on the roof of his house. The baby monkey tried to rescue itself but in vain.

Seeing the baby in danger, the mother monkey along with its troop stayed near the baby for over 15 hours.

The monkey troop did not allow anyone to go near the trapped baby. At last, locals called the 'snake Helpline' in the area which reached the spot and rescued the baby monkey.
