Total Rs 10 lakh cash were looted by four miscreants from UCO bank, Dhalapur branch, in Dhenkanal district at gun point.

In another bank robbery case, a gang of armed dacoits looted cash worth over Rs 50 lakh from the Bank of India’s Beheramal branch this morning.

According to reports, 10-12 dacoits with masks on their face arrived at the bank in a vehicle, went inside, overpowered the in-charge branch manager and the customers at gunpoint and locked them inside a room. Before fleeing the area in a huff, they collected cash worth over Rs 50 lakh from the cash counter and the bank’s strong room.

Following information, a police team led by the district Superintendent of Police rushed to the bank for an on-the-spot investigation.
