Bhubaneswar: Southwest monsoon gripped almost entire Odisha as it advanced further into the state, setting off heavy showers in many areas its is expected to pour even more due to the low pressure generated in northwest  Bay of Bengal.

According to meteorological centre’s report, most of the districts have been covered by southwest monsoon except for some parts of Bargarh, Jharsuguda and Sundergarh. But as the conditions are turning favourable within a span of three to four days rainfall is expected in those areas.

As per reports, the low pressure area over northwest Bay of Bengal and neighbourhood now lies over southwest Bangladesh and neighbourhood. Rains and thundershower would occur at many places in Odisha under its impact.

Met sources have added that heavy rainfall is likely to occur at one or two places over the districts in southern part of the state during the next 24 hours.
