Bhubaneswar: Mock drills at prominent places in the capital city were carried out by the National Security Guard (NSG) along with Odisha Police on Thursday night.

Black Cat commandos of the NSG along with Special Operations Group (SOG), Special Tactical Unit (STU) and Special Security Battalion (SSB) of Odisha Police spread out at prominent places here starting from Rajiv Bhawan, State Secretariat and State Assembly till Biju Patnaik International Airport for the drill.

The NSG commandos showed their skills on how to tackle terror attacks, how to save prominent places from seize of terrorists and how to takeover them successfully.

Earlier on Wednesday, NSG IG Sashank Mishra had a discussion with Director General of Police KB Singh and Police Commissioner YB Khurania at the DG’s camp office here on the State’s preparedness to tackle any kind of terror attack in future and had set plans to carry out a three-day drill.

Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to counter the potential threats and acts of terrorism within the State was also discussed by them.
