Mobile, cash stolen from Japanese lady tourist; FIR lodged

Puri: A Japanese female tourist last evening lodged a complaint at the Puri Sadar police station alleging her mobile phone and Rs 2,500 cash were stolen by some unknown looters from her bag kept at the Beleswar beach while she was taking bath in the sea.

The Japanese tourist, identified as Ayota Ottami, came to the police station to lodge the complaint along with her male friend of California, USA.

Informing newsmen about the complaint filed by the tourist, Gourang Charan Prusty, IIC, Puri Sadar PS, mentioned, “Ottami was staying with her friend Edward Beach at Panchakarma Guest House located in City Road, Puri,” adding a probe will be launched into the case.
