Mob disrupts Tarang Parivar Awards rehearsals in Paradip

Paradip: Tension prevailed after a mob claiming to represent a local politician created ruckus and disrupted rehearsals for Tarang Parivar Awards ceremony at Paradip on Tuesday.

As per eye witnesses, the incident occurred at around evening when the artistes of Tarang were busy preparing for the award ceremony scheduled to be held at Paradip tomorrow. As per reports, as many as 200 people came to the sets of the event and disrupted the proceedings questioning why the local politician has not been invited and why sufficient passes have not been arranged for locals to watch the event. The mob also threatened to stop the program, added sources.

Till last reports came in the situation has been brought under control after amicable discussions between the organisers and the mob.

Tarang Parivar Awards is one of the major events organized by Tarang channel of Odisha Television Network to honour the artistes and crew for their outstanding performances in various shows on the small screen.
