Bhubaneswar: Nearly five days after former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister levelled allegations on links between former finance minister P Chidambaram and BJD MP Baijayant Panda, BJD MLA Debashish Samantaray has questioned the veracity of Jogi’s statements.

Samantaray said allegations brought against leaders are not always true. “They always raise allegations against our leaders which are mostly baseless. Bringing allegations is easy and members of other parties often indulge in allegations even against our CM. But has any of those been proven true?” questioned the legislator.

Samantaray said that when the MP’s office has given its reply over the allegation, there is nothing left for us to say anymore. “In fact, in the allegations of poll fund irregularities against CM Naveen, Election Commission stated in the High Court that there is no ‘maintainability’ in the case, so how was it admitted!” he said.

Samantaray added that bringing an allegation is a regular affair but proving it is different.
