Rayagada: The three students of St Xavier’s School here who had gone missing since the last six days have finally been rescued from Visakhapatnam by Rayagada police.

The police traced the location of the trio by tracking their mobile numbers and rescued them from Madhurwada area of Visakhapatnam on Monday. The cops handed over the three children to their parents after interrogating them.

“At around 7.30 am today, we got to know that the children are in Madhurwada area of Visakhapatnam and later informed the police about it. Police rescued the children by tapping their phone and brought them back,”  said T Upendra Kumar Rao, father of T Paban Kumar.

Rayagada police station IIC Rabindra Kumar Patra said, “Exam pressure might have forced the three students to go to Visakhapatnam. We spotted them while they were travelling. The exact reason will be revealed soon.”
