Missing auto driver found dead

Kendrapara: An autorickshaw driver, who was missing from Sunday, was found dead at an isolated place near a pond in Kendrapara on Monday. The deceased has been identified as Rashmiranjan Das (28) of Damarpur village.

Family members alleged that Rashmiranjan has been killed as his body carries injury marks at several places. However, they claimed that Rashmiranjan did not have any enmity with anyone in the village.

“Rashmiranjan had left home in the evening yesterday and despite attempts we could not contact him over telephone,” said a relative.

Meanwhile, police have seized the autorickshaw and sent Rashmiranjan’s body for postmortem while further investigation in connection with the case has started.
