Missing AIIMS Student: Mother appeals on social media

Bhubaneswar: While the mystery behind the missing AIIMS Bhubaneswar student from Kashmir Suhail Aijaz continues, his mother, through social media, has urged him to return home.

A video of the same has reportedly gone viral on social media. Suhail’s mother, in the video, urged him to return for the sake of her and the family.

“Please return home from whichever place you are in. Don’t do such injustice to us. Please have mercy on me,” cried the mother.

Meanwhile, the three-member team of the Commissionerate police which had gone to Kolkata to investigate into the matter returned today. However, the team has returned clueless, sources said.

“Our investigation is on and we are in constant touch with the Kolkata and Jammu & Kashmir police,” said Bhubaneswar DCP Satyabrata Bhoi, adding that police have so far not found any vital clue related to Suhail.

Suhail has been pursing MBBS at the AIIMS, Bhubaneswar since 2016. He has been missing since February 9.

Reportedly, he had informed the authorities of the institute that he was going to Chandigarh with his friends to attend a wedding and would be back on February 17, but he did not return.

A note was later recovered from his hostel room in which he had written “I Quit”.
