Miscreants strike Ladu baba temple, loot cash

Nayagarh: Thieves have reportedly looted cash from the donation box of  Ladu Baba temple in Nayagarh in the wee hours on Saturday.

The matter came to light after the priests found the locks of the donation box broken.

Sources said, the miscreants decamped with cash after breaking three locks of the donation box that was kept outside the temple for devotees.

It is suspected that lakhs of rupees have been stolen as the donation box was not opened for the last one year.

Temple officials suspect it to be the handiwork of a gang as images of two persons have been captured in the CCTV cameras installed on the premises of the shrine.

Senior police officials have started investigation into the incident while the CCTV footage is also being examined.
