Balasore: Barely few meters away from Balasore Sadar police station, unidentified miscreants looted nearly Rs 60 lakh after firing at an employee of Seragarh Toll Gate in Balasore on Monday.

Pradip Yadav, the supervisor of the toll plaza sustained a bullet injury below his right shoulder in the incident. His condition is said to be critical and is now undergoing treatment at the hospital.

According to sources, four employees of the toll plaza were on their way to deposit cash in the bank when the miscreants intercepted their car near National Highway-5.The miscreants after firing two rounds at the vehicle, decamped with the cash.

“The miscreants were armed with pistols and iron rods. First they attacked our vehicle, broke its windowpanes and looted the cash,” said Yadav.

Meanwhile, police have launched a manhunt to nab the miscreants involved in the robbery.
