Miscreants loot gold from Cuttack temple in serial robbery

Cuttack: Miscreants looted gold and ornaments worth over lakhs of rupees from the Akhandalamani Temple in New LIC colony in Badambadi Area of Cuttack in a serial robbery in which three other houses in the area were targeted.

According to sources, the miscreants also looted ornaments, cash and two motorcycles from the houses of three government employees residing in the colony.

Meanwhile, Badambadi Police along with a scientific team has launched an investigation into the robbery.

“Hundred grams of gold jewellery, a camera, a motorcycle and Rs 20,000 cash have been stolen from my house,” said a complainant Rajashree Sahu.

“A scientific team has been called. From preliminary investigations it looks like a gold necklace and a silver crown have been stolen. Moreover, three other houses have been robbed,” informed, SP of Zone 6, Anil Mishra.
