Miscreants loot cash, mobile phones from 20 truck drivers

Rourkela: Unidentified miscreants looted cash worth over Rs 1 lakh and mobile phones from around 20 truck drivers by brandishing weapons near Kalta police outpost in Bonai of Sundergarh district late last night.

According to sources, the dacoits intercepted the trucks near a limestone quarry under Kalta police outpost in Bonai of the district. Later, they looted cash worth over Rs 1 lakh and mobile phones from the truck drivers by brandishing sharp weapons and even beating them.

On receiving information, police rushed to the spot and began investigation into the matter.
