Miscreants attack Home Guards in city

Bhubaneswar: Three unknown miscreants allegedly assaulted two Home Guards of the Khandagiri police station here on Wednesday night.

When the two Home Guards had gone for patrolling on a bike at around 11 pm, three bike-borne miscreants suddenly came and attacked the Home Guard, who was riding the bike. When the two fell down, the miscreants beat them up black and blue. Later, when one of the two police staff tried to run away, the anti-socials beat him with a stick.

The Home Guards were injured in the attack and later admitted to the Capital Hospital. Though the reason behind the attack is not known, the incident has raised question about the safety and security of the citizens in the capital city.
