Women thrash minor boy who was allegedly drunk

Bolangir: Women in Bileisarda area here in the district today allegedly thrashed a minor boy who was reported to be in an inebriated condition. As per sources, the boy was tied to a pole and beaten up by the women.

According to reports, the women, who tied up the minor boy, are members of an anti-liquor activist group in the area.

Meanwhile, locals reached the spot and rescued the minor and sent him home.

“No FIR or written allegation is lodged in our police station regarding the matter. However, it is clear that anti-liquor movement is active in that area,” said Jayanta Kumar Das, IIC Puintala.
