Bhubaneswar: Technical Education and Skill Development Minister Usha Devi’s vanity bag containing Rs 25,000, mobile phone and other valuables was reportedly stolen by miscreants in Puri-Durg Intercity Express.

According to reports, Usha Devi had boarded the Puri-Durg Intercity Express from Bhubaneswar and was travelling to Kantabanji.

It is suspected that the miscreants made away with the minister’s bag between Rairakhol and Angul station.

The matter came to light today after an FIR was lodged at Titlagarh Government Railway Police (GRP).

“Cash, mobile and ID card of the minister have been stolen. We have registered a case and investigation has begun basing on the complaint filed,” said Inspector-in-charge, Titlagarh GRP, Mohan Nayak.
