Mini bus turns turtle: One killed, 16 hurt

Puri: One person died and 16 others injured, when a mini bus in which they were travelling, overturned at Kathapola near Malatipatapur this morning.

Reports said the ill-fated mini bus was on the way to Karamala via Siruli Mahavir from Puri when the driver lost control of the vehicle which overturned at Kathapola near Malatipatapur.

Following the incident, locals rushed to the spot and rescued the injured passengers from the bus. The injured passengers were admitted to the district headquarters hospital where their condition was stated to be stable.

The body of the deceased, identified as Raghunath Jena, the bus conductor, was sent to the district headquarters hospital for post mortem.
