Bhubaneswar: Cricketing buffs in Odisha have been bowled over by legend Sachin Tendulkar’s ‘Cricket Wali Beat’ song that has already made millions of fans to dance to its tune.

Sachin’s jugalbandi with Sonu Nigam for 100 MB has been a huge hit as the cricketing legend expressed gratitude to cricket players he played six World Cup tournaments with.

What has established a direct contact with fans in Odisha is the special mention of Debasish Mohanty, the first International player from the State in the song.

Popular as ‘Kalinga Express’, Debasish Mohanty had taken 10 wickets in six matches that he played for India in the 1999 World Cup.

“I am happy that Sachin Tendulkar has sung a song and I am grateful and lucky to be a part of the 1999 World Cup squad. The song is peppy and will do well,” said Mohanty.
