Bhubaneswar: Demanding permanent appointment, several Mobile Health Unit (MHU) attendants today gheraoed the residence of Health Minister Pradip Amat in the Capital city.

The attendants allege that the administration had promised permanent appointment to the vacant attendant posts in 2013, however, no step has been taken so far in this direction.

They also demand timely disbursement of salary and blame the top officials in the State health department of being apathetic towards their issues.

“We will continue our protest still the government materialize the decision of chief secretary and regularize our posts,” said Orissa Group D MHU Contract Government Employees Association president Debraj Sahu.
