Bhubaneswar: Mercury continued to rise across Odisha with four cities including State Capital recording temperature above 38 degrees Celsius on Sunday.

Balasore recorded a maximum temperature of 38.8 degrees C followed by Bhubaneswar which registered 38.2 degrees C.

Similarly, Angul recorded 38.1 and Sonepur 38.0 degrees Celsius. 10 other places have registered above 35 degrees Celsius today.

The Regional Meteorological Department has forecast clear sky in next 24 hours.

"The maximum and minimum temperature in all over Odisha is most likely to remain at round 37 and 17 degrees Celsius respectively," a statement issued by Met department said.
