Meeting held to discuss sponsorships for intl hockey events

Bhubaneswar: A high-level preparatory meeting was held today under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary AP Padhi to discuss about the sponsorships for the upcoming World League of Hockey in December 2017 and the Hockey World Cup in 2018.

Talking to media persons after the meeting, Sports Secretary Vishal Deb, who was present in the discussion, said, “We had a preliminary discussion about sponsorship and funding for the two upcoming international hockey events. We hope many companies will show interests.”

Among others, Development Commissioner R. Balakrishnan, Sports Director Anant Kumar Jena and other senior officials were present in the meeting.
