Cuttack: While the investigation into the case lodged by a 4th year MBBS girl student of SCB Medical College in Cuttack is on, the college authorities today claimed that the matter has been settled amicably by both parties after discussions.

According to the administrative officer of the college, Pratap Mishra, a decision to settle the matter amicably was taken at the internal disciplinary committee meeting of the institution. According to the official, both parties along with the parents of the girl student who lodged a police complaint were present at the meeting and presented their case.

Both the parties agreed not to drag the matter forward and discussions were held to ensure such incidents are not repeated in future, the official said.
