Cuttack: The annual Matric Supplementary examinations conducted by Board of Secondary Education (BSE) began on Thursday.

According to Board sources, as many as 12,000 students are appearing in the examination which is being held at 45 centres in all district headquarters across the state.

Notably, the procedures of the examination will be the same as those in the annual HSC examinations.

Talking to OTV, BSE president Prof Dakshya Prasad Nanda said as per the examination schedule made during annual examinations, there will be six subjects in the Supplementary examination. There will be a single sitting everyday from 9 AM to 11.30 AM except for Mathematics which will have extra 15-minutes duration which will end at 11.45 AM.

“Like previous years, the district administration, police administration and District Education Officers (DEOs) will cooperate with the Board for smooth conduct of the examination,” Nanda added.

He said the examination will conclude on June 8 while the results will be decleared tentatively before first week of July.
