Massive reshuffle in OAS cadre

Bhubaneswar: The state government Monday effected a massive reshuffle in the senior Odisha Administrative Service (OAS) cadre.

According to a General Administration (GA) department notification, Sukadev Das has been appointed secretary, Odisha Information Commission (OIC) and Ananta Kumar Bhuyan has been posted as the new Controller, Legal Metrology and Director, Consumer Affairs.

Besides, Babaji Charan Das has been posted as Additional Secretary, Handloom & Textiles and Rajashree Mohanty as Member Secretary, Odisha State Food Commission.

The government has also promoted five OAS officers to the rank of Sub Collector with new places of posting. They are, Gopal Swami (Nabarangpur), Gourahari Behera (Champua), Sashanka Sekhar (Dharamgarh), Suranjan Pradhan (Baliguda) and Krutibas Rout (Jeypore).

The other OAS officers given new places of posting with promotion are as follows:

Akshya Kumar Mohanty: Joint Secretary, Higher Education, Mirdha Toppo: PA ITDA, Bonai, Santosh Kumar Mishra: Secretary, Rourkela Development Authority, Lingaraj Behera: Administrative Officer, Sishu Bhawan, Satya Narayan Das: Project Director DRDA Jharsuguda, Jyoti Ranjan Pradhan: ADM, Sambalpur, Prabhat Kumar Bhoi: ADM, Bhadrak, Rashmi Ranjan Nayak: Deputy Secretary, Women & Child Development (with additional charge of Mahila Vikas Samabya Nigam) and Subhra Mohanty: Additional Sub Collector, Dhenkanal, the notification added.
