Malkangiri: Close on the heels of the brutal killings of two persons, Maoists have again unleashed terror by slitting throat of a person at Nuatekpadar village under Ralegada panchayat in cut-off Chitrakonda area in Malkangiri district.

The deceased has been identified as Sitaram Khila.

According to reports, 15 to 20 armed rebels had abducted Sitaram from his house at around 10 pm on Saturday night and later killed him in front of other villagers in the wee hours today.

It is suspected that Maoists killed Sitaram suspecting him to be a police informer. However, the ultras have not left behind any poster on the spot.

Earlier, the Maoists had gunned downtwo persons suspecting them to be police informers at Madegare village in neighbouring Visakhapatnam near Malkangiri border.

The deceased have been identified as Kalakani Surya and Mukla Kishore.
