Maoists kill tribal man over suspicion of being police informer

Malkangiri: Maoists once again struck terror by killing a tribal resident of Mahupadar under Mathili police limits in the district on Monday night.

The deceased has been identified as Muinan Kabasi. Villagers said some armed extremists barged into his house last night and dragged him out of his dwelling suspecting him to be police informer. Later, they took him to a forest near Golipadar and beat him to death.

They also left a poster near the body through which the rebels threatended other villagers of similar consequences if they work for police.

On December 9, naxals had killed one Sitaram Khemudu of Ralegada in Chitrakonda area of the district. The rebels had committed the crime as they believed that Sitaram was operating as a police informer, police had informed.
