Maoists kill one in Koraput

Jeypore: Maoists struck terror once again by killing a tribal man suspecting him to be a police informer at Pedaitiki village under Barigi panchayat of the Koraput district, in the wee hours of Saturday.

The deceased has been identified as Pidika Ratnu.

According to sources, around 20 armed maoists stormed into Ratnu’s house in the early hours. They assaulted, dragged him and later killed by slitting his throat at a nearby forest.

The ultras accused Ratnu of passing information to police.

Further investigation has begun into the gruesome killing, police said.
