Kandhamal: Protesting against the Kandhamal firing incident, which claimed the lives of five innocent villagers of Gumudumaha, the Bansadhara-Ghumusura-Nagabali Maoist Division has called for a 24-hour bandh in Kandhamal and Rayagada on Monday.

According to sources, Maoist posters calling for bandh in the two districts were found from Shiv temple of Kalyansinghpur area, Panasapadara square and Sikarapai bus stand area.

Besides, the posters also demanded strong action and registration of murder cases against the SOG personnel who were involved in the firing, the sources added.

The Red outfit also demanded an exgratia of Rs 25 lakh to the family members of the deceased and Rs 10 lakh to the kin of the victims of the incident.
