Rayagada: Maoists put up posters at Karadabandha village under Muniguda police limits of Rayagada district today asking the people to observe Republic Day as ' Black Day'. The posters by the rebel outfit have created panic among the locals.

According to sources, the Mao posters, reportedly posted by Nagabali-Ghumusura-Vamsadhara division of the rebel outfit,  also demanded to remove the  CRPF camp located in Niyamgiri region.

In a separate incident, an anti-maoist poster was recovered from the Kudumuluguma block of Malkangiri district. As per sources, the poster pasted by ‘Hinsamukta Odisha’, mentioned about the violent means adopted by the Maoists who had killed a tribal man, suspecting him to be a police informer. The poster also stated that Maoists allegedly indulge in extorting money from the tribals belonging to the area.
