Bolangir: Police today found Maoists posters and banners put up by Bargarh-Balangir Divisional committee of the Bargarh-Balangir-Mahasamund division of the CPI (Maoist) in Udiapalli village under Khaprakhol block of Bolangir district.

According to sources, the posters and banners alleged the police involvement in the killing of two of their cadres including a woman at Salepali forest range under Paikmal police limits on September 26. They stated that the incident was a preplanned conspiracy hatched by the police personnel.

In the posters, the Maoists have also demanded to conduct post mortem of the two ultras in presence of human rights activists. This apart, they have demanded to hand over the bodies to their respective families.

The posters have issued threats to some police personnel and unanimous persons for their involvement in the incident and put them in the hit list of the ultras.

Although police have expedited combing operations in the Khaprakhol area, the locals are in a state of panic apprehending further violence.

On September 26, two Maoists were allegedly killed in a late night exchange of fire between police and CPI (Maoist) cadres in Bargarh district.

An SLR rifle, two SLR magazines and 43 rounds of live ammunition of SLR rifle, one .303 rifle along with 39 rounds of live ammunition were seized from the spot along with cash of Rs 20,100, Maoist literature, photographs of 11 Maoists, plastic ropes and torch lights.
