Nuapada: More than a hundred Maoist posters demanding immediate release of three red rebels from jail were found in Nilaji and Karlakhamar villages under Sinapli police limits in Nuapada district today.

The posters claimed to have been put up by the Menpur-Nuapada Divisional Committee of CPI (Maoist) have sought release of Sumitra Dharua, Makran Paharia and Yusuf Mohammed from police custody.

"Police are unnecessarily harassing innocent villagers after implicating them in false cases," the posters mentioned.

On the other hand, wanted Maoist cadre Sadhana surrendered before the Srikakulam SP in Andhra Pradesh. She was reportedly carrying a cash reward of Rs 4 lakh each in Andhra Pradesh and Odisha.
