Maoist couple surrenders before police

Rourkela: A cadre Maoist couple-Sanika Kujur and Sunita Kujuru surrendered before Rourkela police on Saturday.

According to sources, the duo was the members of a Maoist division operated by Samar Jee aka Anmol.

The couple was involved in many Maoist activities on Odisha-Chhattisgarh border, sources said adding that they were also involved in the fire exchange with police which took place in July and August.

“We decided to surrender before police as we wanted to include us in the main stream of the society,” they added.
