Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi should share views on the importance of country’s improved rating during the upcoming Mann Ki Baat programme, opined BJD MP Baijayant Panda.

While responding to Prime Minister’s request on possible topics and ideas for this month’s Mann Ki Baat programme on Twitter, Panda suggested that Modi should take up topics that are relevant for the general public.

The next edition of popular citizen’s connect programme, Mann Ki Baat will be aired on radio on November 26.

Recently, Credit rating company Moody’s Investors Service on Friday had upgraded India’s sovereign rating by a notch in a ringing endorsement of the Narendra Modi government’s reforms policy. It’s the first upgrade of India’s rating in 14 years.

In a tweet, the BJD MP wrote, “How abt explaining to the masses the importance of improved country ratings? Impact on credit, investment, job creation are topics usually considered relevant only for markets but too esoteric for the public. You have rare skills to communicate this & seek support for reforms,”.

In the last edition of Mann ki Baat in October, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had addressed the nation speaking about the contribution of India's soldiers to UN peacekeeping missions all over the world.
