Man trapped in own plan to kill another

Sambalpur: In a bizarre incident, a man sustained critical burn injuries after becoming victim of his own plan to kill another in the city here today.

Bipin mirdha of Kakudipali under Dhama police station in the district had planned to eliminate a person, who had allegedly taken Rs 60,000 from him to facilitate a loan. According to his plan, he connected his mobile phone with a detonator and a bottle filled with petrol.

When Mirdha was going to hit his target, the mobile phone he held suddenly went off on the road near Sadar police station. His palm sustained critical injuries in the explosion.

He was admitted to VSS medical College and Hospital in Burla. Initially, police suspected it as a case of bomb explosion. However, the victim made them confirmed about the entire episode.
