Man trampled to death by elephant in Kamakhyanagar

Kamakhyanagar: In a tragic incident, a man was trampled to death by an elephant near Jamujhara village under Kamakhyanagar sub-division in Dhenkanal district.

The deceased has been identified as Sambhari Pradhan of Jamujhara village.

According to sources, the incident took place when Pradhan was returning to Jamujhari from Pandua chhak on Wednesday evening.

A wild jumbo attacked him in which he sustained critical injuries. He was first admitted to Anlabarani health centre and later shifted to Dhenkanal district headquarters hospital and SCB medical college and hospital when his condition worsened. He died while undergoing treatment at SCB hospital on Thursday morning, sources added.
