Man takes revenge of daughter’s death, kills wife

Malkangiri: A heated argument turned fatal for a family of four as a husband beat his wife to death after finding his daughter dead inside their house in Bariguda village under Biralaxmanpur block of the district here on Monday. He came to know that the daughter was killed by his wife.

Sources said the mother allegedly attacked both her son and daughter with a wooden stick following a war of words between the three.

The daughter was killed on the spot, while her son, who somehow survived the injuries, was rushed to a nearby hospital in a critical condition and is undergoing treatment.

Soon after her husband came to know about the incident upon reaching home, in a fit of rage he attacked his wife with the same wooden stick killing her instantly.

Getting information, police reached the spot and began investigation into the incident. “Preliminary investigation reveals the incident is an outcome of a family quarrel. However, a detailed investigation will lead us to the actual reason behind the tragedy,” said a police official.
