Man killed in truck-bike collision in Balasore

Soro: A person was killed when the bike he was riding on collided with a truck near Betada Bazaar under Basudevpur police station in Balasore district this morning.

The deceased has been identified as Sanatan Behera.

The incident occurred when Sanatan was returning to his village Nairatapur after finishing his work at Jamujhadi. A speedy truck hit him from behind following which Sanatan died on the spot. Soon after the incident, the truck driver fled leaving the vehicle on the spot  .

Later, police reached the spot and sent the dead body for post-mortem. Investigation into the matter is on, police said.
