Man killed in elephant attack

Athagarh: A man was killed in an elephant attack at Haridapassi village under Athagarh-Tigiria forest division on Wednesday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Saranga Sahoo of Haridapassi village.

According to sources, the incident took place when Sahoo was guarding a mango garden in the village.

An elephant from a nearby forest entered the garden and suddenly attacked Sahoo causing his death on the spot, the sources added.
