Man killed in bombing by younger brother over property dispute

Khurda: Family and property dispute led to the second murder in Jatani area within a day after a man was killed in bombing by his younger brother.

The incident was reported from Badaichhapur village of Haripur GP under Jatani police limits of Khurda district.

According to sources, irate over the ongoing land dispute, one Pandav Sethi of the village hurled a bomb towards his elder brother Gangadhar which led to the latter’s death on the spot. The incident happened in full public glare and in presence of Gangadhar's son.

After being informed, police reached the village and have started questioning the locals and family members of the deceased.

The incident is the second murder in Jatani area today. Earlier in the day, one Sabita Swain was allegedly stabbed to death by her nephew Bikash Swain at Ramchandrapur Bazar in Jatani over a family feud.
