Man dies in accident, locals stage road blockade

Cuttack: A day after a person died in a road accident at Sunadei Mundia area in Banki, agitating locals on Saturday staged a road blockade at Baideswara main road demanding Rs 4 lakh compensation to family members of the deceased and widening of the road.

On Friday, a person died in a bi-cycle-bike collision at Sunadei Mundia. The deceased has been identified as Gopal Behera.

The incident took place when a bike hit Behera, who was riding a bicycle, causing his death on the spot. The pillion rider also sustained injuries in the accident, the sources said.
