Family quarrel turns deadly as son shoots father

Rairangpur: A verbal duel over a trivial matter took a violent turn when a tribal youth shot his father with an arrow at Bhalugoda village under Jharadihi police outpost here in Mayurbhanj district today.

Critically injured Ramadu Baske (55) was admitted to Rairangpur health centre last night and later, referred to district headquarters hospital in Baripada.

His son Ramrai Baske has been arrested and interrogation is on.

According to reports, Ramadu had gone fishing to the nearest pond against the wish of his son. A verbal duel  ensued between the two over the matter and took a deadly turn.
