Malkangiri RD engineer in Vigilance net

Malkangiri: Vigilance sleuths arrested the executive engineer of the Rural Development (RD) department in Malkangiri today.

The officials conducted a raid at Mathili and seized Rs 7.5 lakh in cash from the car. The officials detained executive engineer Ranesh Chandra Jaal and a contractor from the car. Vigilance is investigating the source of the huge amount of cash found in his possession.

Vigilance officials raided the Government office and house of Jaal at Malkangiri and sealed a house at Balipeta in Jeypore in Koraput district.
