Bhubaneswar: Leader of Opposition Narsingh Mishra today moved a privilege motion in the State Assembly against Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for providing misleading information on Mahanadi in the House.

Mishra alleged that the Chief Minister had furnished false information in response to a calling attention motion on August 5, 2010.

Moreover, Mishra also said that the ruling BJD spokesperson Pratap Deb had also breached the privilege a few days back saying false information are provided in the Assembly at times.

“Without furnishing the required information, the CM is deliberately misleading the people of Odisha by writing letters to the Central government. However, he is now exposed after the Union Law minister’s remark in Lok Sabha today,” said Mishra.

“The Deputy speaker has informed about the privilege motion and the Speaker has to take a call on the matter,” said BJD spokesperson, Samir Dash in reply.
