Mahanadi row: BJD moves privilege notice against Balyan in RS

New Delhi: BJD Rajya Sabha MP Anubhav Mohanty today moved a privilege notice against the Minister of State for Water Resources, Sanjeev Balyan for providing misleading information in the Parliament on the projects undertaken in the Mahanadi upstream by Chhattisgarh.

Earlier, a privilege motion was moved against Balyan in the Lok Sabha by BJD Parliamentary party leader Bhartruhari Mahatab, Pravash Singh and Nagendra Pradhan among others.

In his defence, Balyan had said that he had presented facts which were made available to him by the Chhattisgarh government.
