Sambalpur: Targeting Union minister Dharmendra Pradhan on the Mahanadi water dispute between Odisha and Chhattisgarh, anonymous cartoon posters were found pasted on several walls in Sambalpur today.

The posters, along with a cartoon of Dharmendra Pradhan, accused the union minister of turning a blind eye to the interests of Odisha on the Mahanadi issue.

Commenting on these posters, BJP national secretary Suresh Pujari said “Intolerance has been slowly rising in politics. Rather than finding a solution to the issue which is of concern to Odisha, people are indulging in mudslinging. These posters reflect how the standards of politics have declined. These fictitious posters, which do not carry the names of the printer and publisher, are clearly aimed at defaming others.”

The source of the posters is yet to be ascertained.
